TORONTO — Canada’s newest tour operator CanJet Vacations is offering travel agents an extra 2% commission.

“As our way of showing agents our gratitude for their patience as we work toward completing our discussions with our GDS partners, we are excited to announce we are offering a limited time incentive of 2% commission on all bookings effective today through to Sept. 26. This represents a 25% premium over and above our existing 8% commission we announced recently. We think this is a pretty compelling offer and are confident agents will be happy to support us,” said John Kirk, the company’s newly appointed VP Sales & Marketing.

Currently travel agents can access the tour operator’s product by calling 1-800-809-7777 or by booking on Sirev.com the Internet-based GDS platform powered by Softvoyage.

The operator also announced plans are underway to distribute products via the major GDS platforms in the coming weeks as they work toward completing contract negotiations.

As previously announced, there will be no surcharges in CanJet Vacations’ pricing allowing for commissions to be earned on a larger base price.
