MONTEGO BAY — Eight Canadian travel agents were among the honourees at the Jamaica Tourist Board’s ‘One Love Affair’ gala event in Montego Bay.
This is the eighth consecutive year for the event, which rewards the year’s top-selling Jamaica Travel Specialists. This year’s celebration took place at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall.
The three-night trip included tours, dining and shopping, and culminated with the ‘One Love Affair’ gala at Half Moon Jamaica’s conference centre. The awards gala recognized the top 50 performing agents from across North America – including eight representatives from Canada – as well as the top five agents from the UK.
The top agents booked a total of 174,837 room nights, collectively for the year. Among the top 10, Mississauga, ON’s Darlene Rhoden of The TravelNet placed number eight and Pauline Blacoe of Shine Travel in Brantford, ON placed number 10.
