TORONTO — Canada Jetlines has reportedly suspended its Calgary service, at least temporarily.
The CBC reports that Canada Jetlines pulled out of the Calgary market earlier this year. The new airline launched its Toronto-Calgary service in September 2022.
The temporary halt of Calgary flights leaves Canada Jetlines with service from Toronto to Vancouver, Las Vegas and Cancun.
Last month Canada Jetlines announced it had signed a contract to provide aircraft and crew for five months starting at the end of March 2023.
The contract consists of daily flying and runs until the beginning of September 2023.
Canada Jetlines’ CEO and President, Eddy Doyle said Canada Jetlines has completed approximately 50 charter and ACMI flights already since the beginning of 2023 and expects to perform several additional charter flights in the coming months.
