TORONTO — Canada Jetlines’ first flights to the United States are officially up and running, with the Feb. 16 launch of Toronto-Las Vegas service.
Previously announced in November 2022, the new Las Vegas flights are part of the airline’s planned expansion into the U.S. after receiving FAA approval for U.S. flight operations this past December.
“Canada Jetlines is very proud to have operated our first scheduled flight between Canada and the United States,” said Duncan Bureau, Canada Jetlines’ Chief Commercial Officer. “Canada Jetlines has built strong relationships with the travel agency community and tourism boards in both Canada and Nevada. We are looking forward to offering our world-class product to those that are travelling between Ontario and Nevada.”
Bureau added that the airline is looking to add more markets and partners across North America, Mexico and the Caribbean. It has previously announced service to Cancun, Mexico, which is scheduled to begin in March 2023. Previously announced service to Melbourne, Florida, which was originally scheduled to launch on Jan. 19, has been postponed, according to industry reports.
Last week, Canada Jetlines also announced that travel agents in Canada can now view and book its flights via the Sabre GDS.
