NEW YORK — Rail Europe and Eurail have announced a new agent contest to help them encourage clients to see Europe by train.

The ‘My Dream Itinerary’ contest inspires agents to create their ideal itinerary using the new Eurail Global Pass. Participating agents can win their own dream rail vacation. Of the four final itineraries that are chosen as the best ideal European experiences, one will be voted the best overall, which will then become the actual mini fam for the four winning travel agents.

The entry submission dates are May 1-22, 2019.

THE PASS

The new Eurail Global Pass allows for travellers to be connected to 31 European countries, with validities offered from three days to three consecutive months. Rail Europe also has a Travel Planner feature to help agents build their dream itinerary f.

HOW TO ENTER

Agents can submit their dream itineraries through the Official Online Entry Form found either by logging onto the Rail Europe agent website (agent.raileurope.ca) or on raileurope-mydreamitinerary.com.

The entry must include at least three countries and five different days of travel in participating Eurail Global Pass countries, and the agent must select which category of traveller the itinerary is meant for. Agents may submit a different itinerary for each of the four categories but can only be a finalist in one category.

Entries will be judged from May 23 to June 2, 2019 based on originality, creativity, popularity, ease of use in training webinar, and reason for the submission. The four finalists will move forward to the voting phase from June 3-28, 2019.

The four finalists will be provided the opportunity to co-present their in a webinar to their peers. Along with this, their itineraries will be posted on the contest site website for voting. The travel trade, consumers, friends and family are allowed one vote per person, per day and are subject to registration.

THE PRIZES

The four ‘My Dream Itinerary’ finalists will each receive a spot on the all-expense paid mini fam to Europe, as well as a leather Tech Wallet from Mark and Graham. The Grand Prize winner will get to have their itinerary used for the mini fam and receive a two-piece set of monogrammed luggage in their choice of color from Mark and Graham.
