Brand USA drops in on Rogers Centre to showcase the U.S.

TORONTO — With the New York Yankees in town to take on the hometown Toronto Blue Jays, Brand USA hosted guests in the WestJet suite for the game.

Reps from New York City Tourism + Conventions were also on hand.

During a break in the action, there was a contest on the Jumbotron sponsored by Brand USA and WestJet Vacations for a fan to win a roundtrip flight anywhere in the U.S.

The intention of the evening was to show how important the Canadian market is to the United States, considering it’s the destination’s number one international market.

“Post-COVID, we’re seeing some of the largest pickup in Canadian numbers ever. The numbers are extremely promising, surpassing 2019 numbers,” said Casey Canevari, Senior Manager, Global Trade Development Canada for Brand USA.

“There’s something unique and different for all types of travellers in the USA. Whether it’s an outdoors person, a foodie or music lover, there’s a state for everyone. Brand USA has an array of resources to help travellers and the travel trade alike to help figure everything out. The major Canadian airlines have been making large investments into American destinations including some that they’ve never been to before, so it’s really never been easier to make it down,” Canevari continued.

Caneveri went on to say that, “Brand USA wants to thank Canadian travel agents for all that they do. We’re looking forward to growing together, cohesively, with agents and the rest of the trade and figuring out together what the future holds for the industry.”
