TORONTO — It’s never too early to book your holiday getaway, says Insight Vacations, which this season is offering seven itineraries that showcase the magic of Christmas.
With departures beginning in November, these holiday getaways transport clients to winter wonderlands in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and Russia. Each journey includes ‘Insight Experiences’, authentic dining, handpicked hotels in ideal locations, smaller group camaraderie and a Travel Director.
Those who book and pay in full by Aug. 29 will also benefit from a 5% Early Payment Discount.
“Our popular Christmas Markets journeys are in high demand and we take clients to the most festive cities, showing them the insights, not just the sights,” said Brad Ford, president of Insight Vacations in Canada. “We’re showing guests that there is magic in travel’s secret seasons by bringing them to enchanted destinations to see first-hand how Europeans celebrate Christmas with their charming traditions, handcrafted gifts and seasonal treats.”
Holiday itineraries for 2019/2020 include:
• Christmas Markets of Poland, Prague and Germany (8 days): Highlights include Prague’s legendary Christmas Market, the Insight Experience of meeting a local stallholder, a climb to the top of Prague Castle, and a visit to Gendarmenmarkt, considered to be the most magical square in Berlin during the holidays season.
• Alpine Christmas Markets (9 days): While travelling through Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland, guests will visit Mozart’s family home and Salzburg’s 500-year-old Christmas Market and meet a stallholder. They’ll also spend time in Zurich at Europe’s biggest indoor Christmas Market featuring a Swarovski crystal-decorated Christmas tree.
• Easy Pace Russia with Christmas Markets (8 days): Moscow’s Christmas Market is the highlight of this itinerary, where clients will enjoy street shows, traditional cooking classes and fairground rides. In St. Petersburg, a Local Expert will take them to iconic sites including St. Catherine’s palace and the Hermitage Museum. Also included is a ride aboard the Sapsan train.
