Earlier this month Condominium Connection, a Hawaii wholesaler, debuted a brand new program for travel agents that will allow them to pick exact condo units for their clients at selected properties.
Launching this new program with Sugar Beach Resort on Maui, agents can visit condoconnection.com/38.htm and view multiple pictures, access complete descriptions for each unit including information on bedding and a list of amenities.
A stay of seven or more nights is required in order to book an exact unit and other properties now on board with this feature through Condominium Connection include Puunoa Beach Estates, Island Sands and Kihei Akahi.
Other properties to be added soon are as Condominium Connection continues to build information in its online system will be Hale Kamaole and Maui Kamaole.
“We’re excited to offer travel agents the ability to confirm specific unit numbers to their clients,” said Joseph Fienberg, president, Condominium Connection. “We expect this to be very popular for travellers who want a specific floor and when booking multiple units so nearby rooms can be guaranteed.”
Fienberg also explained that Condominium Connection decided to offer this program after seeing that clients wanted to know exactly which condo units they’d be staying in.
“We’ve noticed over the last few years clients want to know the exact condo unit they will be receiving and given that traditional travel wholesalers do not offer this product, guests are reluctantly booking with owners directly,” said Fienberg. “We receive many calls from panicked travel agents where clients booked with an owner direct and the unit fell through at the last minute or they were the victim of a scam and now their client desperately needs a unit.”
Another selling point for Sugar Beach Resort travel agents can take advantage of is the resort’s current discount on room rates of between 15% and 25%. This offer is valid for travel through the end of 2016 for bookings made until the end of November.
Condominium Connection accepts payment in both U.S. and Canadian currency, with all pricing listed in U.S. dollars. The company also sets its Canadian-U.S. dollar exchange rate daily for less than what banks typically charge. The wholesaler also offers a 13% commission on agent bookings.
