BRIDGETOWN — The government of Barbados has announced changes to its travel entry protocols for unvaccinated travellers.
Starting June 1, 2022, all unvaccinated travellers will be required to follow the below process for travel to Barbados:
- Present a negative pre-flight test taken no more than three days prior to arrival in Barbados. The test may be Standard PCR, Rapid PCR or Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
- On arrival, all unvaccinated travellers will be tested at the airport (Rapid Antigen Test) and allowed to go once negative. There is no quarantine requirement for the unvaccinated traveller who tests negative at the airport.
Also starting June 1, 2022, unvaccinated travellers who have documented evidence of having had COVID-19 within 90 days prior to arrival in Barbados, do not need a test on arrival. They will however still need a negative pre-flight test as previously outlined.
This latest update comes days after Barbados’ updated protocols for fully vaccinated travellers took effect. Since May 25, 2022 fully vaccinated travellers to Barbados no longer have to take a COVID-19 test to enter the country
