BANGKOK — Eating a burger in under 10 minutes is doable for most foodies. But who among us is able to wolf down a 13-pounder in less than nine minutes?
This insurmountable challenge has been posed by Chris Steaks and Burgers in Bangkok, which has risen to Internet fame for making the city’s biggest burger, a 10,000-calorie, 13-pound behemoth topped with fried onion rings, bacon and mayonnaise.

Anyone who can eat the whole thing in less than nine minutes wins 10,000 baht (about $435). Only three customers have claimed victory so far, with new challengers arriving each day, says owner Komdech Kongsuwan.

If you’re up for the challenge, the beef version of the ‘6kg Burger’ will set you back about $110, while the pork version costs about $150. But if you keep your eye on the prize, you can walk out with 4x that amount.
