TORONTO — French rail workers are heading back to the picket lines, with rolling strikes planned for every Wednesday and Thursday from next week onward, reports Vision Travel Solutions.
The rail workers, backed by the powerful CGT union, are currently fighting for improved pay and better working conditions.
“We have filed an advanced notice that is unlimited and renewable, for 48 hours each week over Wednesdays and Thursdays,” a CGT spokesperson said.
Rail workers have gone on one-day strikes three times since the beginning of March, the most recent being just two weeks ago.
