NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA – AMResorts kicked off the month of October with two reopenings: Dreams Dominicus La Romana and Dreams Punta Cana.
Opening their doors on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2, respectively, the resorts marked the occasion with ceremonies hosted by the Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, David Collado, along with company executives.
Dreams Dominicus La Romana welcomes guests back with 488 luxury rooms and suites, four swimming pools, 10 restaurant options, eight bars with top-shelf spirits, and entertainment for both adults and children.
Reopening on Oct. 2, Dreams Punta Cana is located just 20 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport and features 620 guestrooms and suites, reservation-free dining, the Explorer’s Club for Kids, Core Zone Teens Club, theme parties, oceanfront bars and more.
On the resorts’ reopenings, Gonzalo del Peón, President of AMResorts, said: “We are eager to continue to reenergize travel to the Dominican Republic and safely welcome guests back to their favorite beachside destinations this month, beginning with the latest reopenings of Dreams Dominicus La Romana and Dreams Punta Cana.”
Del Peón also noted that within a few more weeks, AMResorts will have eight luxury resorts back on stream in the D.R., with more on the way, all featuring best-in-class safety and hygiene protocols as part of the brand’s CleanComplete Verification program. These include Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana (reopening Oct. 13); Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana (Oct. 14); Sunscape Puerto Plata (Oct. 16); and Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana (Oct. 31). Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, the newest AMResorts-branded resort in the country, officially opened its doors in July, while adults-only Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa reopened that month as well.
