NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — AMResorts has announced a new resort brand management deal that will bring Dreams Resorts & Spas to El Macao in the D.R.

Upon opening in the second quarter of 2020, Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana will be the 11th AMResorts branded property on the island, while Macao Beach becomes the fifth destination in the D.R. in the AMResorts Collection.

The resort is owned by Grupo Santa Maria SA.

The beachfront resort is the only hotel property located on the Macao Beach, known as one of the Caribbean’s top beaches and next to the regions of Bavaro and Uvero Alto.

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana will have 500 rooms and suites, all with ocean views. The exclusive family villa area will feature private swimming pools and play areas.

There will be reservation-free dining options at six specialty restaurants, including a luxurious buffet, a French restaurant featuring a carefully curated cellar, and a Coco Café with an ice cream parlour. There will also be seven bars including a swim-up bar and a sports bar concept.

On-site amenities will include three pools, two of which are Infinity pools overlooking Macao Beach and the hills of Punta Cana; an on-site waterpark, Core Zone Teen’s Club, Explorer’s Club for Kids, gaming lounge, a batting cage and more.
