CALABASAS, CA — Travellers who get a jumpstart on their Christmas holidays can save up to $1,500 with AmaWaterways’ limited-time promotion.

The river cruise line is giving travellers who book one of its popular Christmas Markets cruise itineraries by July 31, 2017 up to $1,500 off their cruise fare. With this promotion, voyages along Europe’s Danube and Rhine rivers are made all the more affordable.

AmaWaterways’ Christmas Markets themed cruises are available on four itineraries from late November through December 2017, onboard a variety of ships including the company’s newest vessel, AmaKristina. Travellers can enjoy seven- or 14-night cruises starting at $2,709 per person (cruise only). Pre- and post-cruise land programs (for an added cost) are available with options in Prague on the Danube or Lucerne and Zurich on the Rhine.

Guests wishing to embark on the Dec. 23 Rhine sailing will also enjoy two free nights in Amsterdam. Plus, solo travellers will receive the single supplement waived in place of the discount.

While on Christmas Markets cruises, the holiday spirit isn’t just limited to city markets – it can be found onboard the ships as well. Festive shipboard activities include tree-trimming contests, gingerbread decorating, a Captain’s Christmas party, a traditional holiday dinner, carolers and more.
