CALABASAS, CA — Bookings are now open for AmaWaterways’ 2025 river cruise itineraries across Europe, Africa, Egypt, Asia and Colombia.
For reservations on 2025 sailings booked by Sept. 30, 2023, AmaWaterways is offering an Early Booking Reward with savings of up to 20% off cruise fares depending on the sailing dates and destinations.
“With 2023 shaping up to be a very successful year and all indications pointing to a record breaking 2024, we could not be more excited to announce the opening of reservations for our 2025 itineraries,’’ said Rudi Schreiner, co-founder and president of AmaWaterways.
Schreiner added: “To meet the growing demand for river cruising, we will have additional ships in Colombia and Portugal, which brings our award-winning fleet to 29 river cruise ships welcoming between 28 and 196 guests each. We are also introducing a new seven-night Imperial Danube itinerary on the Danube and bringing back our 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary taking guests from Amsterdam to Budapest, which will appeal to new and returning guests that want to spend a little extra time exploring the fascinating art, music, history and culinary delights across this region.”
NEW SHIPS
AmaWaterways will make history in November 2024 as the first major river cruise line to take guests along the Magdalena River in Colombia with the launch of the 60-passenger AmaMagdalena. And in June 2025, AmaMelodia will begin sailing the river as well, with 32 twin-balcony staterooms. Two seven-night itineraries are featured: Wonders of Colombia and Magic of Colombia, sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla with pre- and post-cruise optional land packages in Medellin, Colombia and Panama City.
Meanwhile AmaSintra will join sister ship, AmaDouro, and AmaVida, along Portugal’s Douro River. AmaSintra will offer a choice of two seven-night itineraries – Enticing Douro, and Flavors of Portugal & Spain.
NEW & RETURNING ITINERARIES
In 2025, AmaWaterways will launch Imperial Danube, a new seven-night itinerary sailing roundtrip from Budapest on the Danube River.
And the increased demand for longer vacations, AmaWaterways is bringing back its 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary in 2025, cruising between Amsterdam and Budapest.
GROUP BOOKINGS
AmaWaterways’ 2025 bookings are open to individual travellers and groups, a key market for the cruise line.
“Group business is very important to AmaWaterways and by opening our 2025 itineraries early this year, we are offering our travel advisor partners a little extra time to reach out to their clients to organize this type of travel whether they are groups made up of friends and families celebrating milestone birthdays or anniversaries, or special interest groups involving art, music or sports,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-founder of AmaWaterways.
“We encourage our travel partners to use the resources available on our Travel Advisor Portal on our website and to contact their Business Development Manager or our dedicated Group Department to help build this important base of business for 2025,” said Karst.
