TORONTO — Playa Hotels & Resorts has appointed Amanda Morris to the role of Director of Sales – Canada.
Morris, who has served as Business Development Manager over the past 6+ at Playa, will work to ensure that Canada continues to have a strong presence in the industry in her new role, says Rose Cosentino, Vice President of Sales – Canada & EURASIA.
“Since joining Playa Hotels & Resorts as Business Development Manager, Ontario, Amanda has demonstrated tremendous initiative and leadership, especially during the past two years as we navigated through this pandemic. Amanda’s responsibilities as Director of Sales – Canada will include managing leisure and social/wedding group sales, as well as working with national trade partners,” says Cosentino.
Morris assumes her new position during a period of continued growth for Playa Hotels & Resorts, which recently celebrated the openings of Wyndham Alltra all-inclusive resorts, Tapestry by Hilton Yucatan Playa del Carmen and Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun.
