TALLAHASSEE, FL — Canadians headed south to Florida in droves in the third quarter where record-setting preliminary figures showed that 516,000 Canadians made the visit, delivering a 2.9% increase.

Preliminary year-to-date figures show that 2,981,000 Canadians visited Florida during the first three quarters of 2013 with 1,557,000 coming by air and 1,423,000 coming by non-air, an increase of 4.1% in 2013 from the same period of 2012.
