MONTREAL — The chief financial officer of Transat AT Inc. is leaving the company to become chief financial officer at Dollarama Inc.
Transat says Patrick Bui will step down from his position at the travel company on Dec. 15, 2023.
He is expected to remain in his role through the announcement of Transat’s results for its financial year ending Oct. 31 to help ensure a smooth transition.
He is set to join Dollarama on Dec. 18.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Senior Management Team, I would like to thank Patrick for his dedication which contributed to Transat’s significant financial performance improvement, as we recently reported record profitability for a third quarter and raised our adjusted EBITDA margin target in the last two quarters. We wish him every success in his future endeavors,” said Annick Guérard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Transat.
On his time at Transat, Bui said: “I am proud to have served Transat as CFO and to have supported its teams in the execution of its strategic plan, enabling the company to solidify its financial foundation and emerge from the pandemic as a far more resilient business.”
Bui fills a job left vacant by the departure of J.P. Towner who moved from Dollarama to become chief financial officer at Rona Inc.
Transat, which operates as an airline under the Air Transat banner, says it has started a formal search for a new chief financial officer.
