Porter adds Victoria to YYZ network

Porter to launch nonstop service between Montreal and New York-Newark

TORONTO — Porter Airlines is spreading its wings even further in the New York area with the addition of a new nonstop route connecting Montreal and Newark.

Service between Montréal Trudeau Airport (YUL) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) begins June 1, 2025, with one daily roundtrip flight. This will increase to two times daily for the peak summer season.

“Newark Airport has been a key part of Porter’s network since the launch of our Billy Bishop-Newark service in 2008,” says Andrew Pierce, vice president, network planning and reporting, Porter Airlines. “Adding a nonstop route from Montreal will make the New York area even more accessible for our passengers, giving them more options to choose from when planning their trips to the Empire State.”

The initial flight schedule is as follows (all times local):

*Operating June 25, 2025, until Sept. 7, 2025

Flights will be operated on Porter’s 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft featuring no middle seats, free premium snacks and complimentary beer and wine in glassware. Passengers purchasing the PorterReserve fare also enjoy enhanced legroom, priority check-in and boarding and checked bags included.

The new route expands Porter’s presence at Newark, joining the airline’s existing service to Billy Bishop Toronto Airport (YTZ) and Ottawa International Airport (YOW). The Newark route also complements a new Toronto Pearson-LaGuardia route starting this spring. Several connections to Porter’s domestic network are available via Montreal, including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Halifax. In addition, these new flights are timed to enable connections to partner Air Transat’s European network beyond Montreal.
