Porter expands U.S. network with nonstop Phoenix-Toronto flights

TORONTO — Porter Airlines’ new service linking Toronto Pearson and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is now underway.

The inaugural flight took off yesterday under clear blue skies at YYZ.

The daily, nonstop flights onboard the airline’s E195-E2 aircraft represent Porter’s entry into Arizona.

Connections are available to and from Montreal, Ottawa, and Halifax via Porter’s Toronto-Pearson hub.

Kevin Jackson, President, Porter Airlines, said: “This inaugural flight from Toronto to Phoenix builds on Porter‘s growing Western U.S. presence – now with service in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Diego and San Francisco. Our unique approach to economy air travel is something that Arizona will welcome, as we continue delivering on our promise of making flying better.”

Flights depart YYZ at 10 a.m., arriving in Phoenix at 12 p.m. On the return leg, flights depart Phoenix at 1 p.m., arriving back in Toronto at 8:05 p.m.
