MONTREAL — Air Canada Vacations is raising a glass to the winners of its second annual Simply the Best Awards.
The event, which took place virtually on March 5, 2024, was attended by nearly 350 Independent Travel Advisors who were recognized for their contributions and achievements within the ACV@Home Program. Advisors also participated in games and won prizes while learning about what’s to come for the ACV@Home community.
Launched just one year ago, the program offers ongoing support for Independent Travel Advisors, including tools, training and community engagement opportunities.
Ana Paula De Souza, Director or Sales at Air Canada Vacations, kicked off the festivities alongside hosts Krista Rothfuchs and Tina Kensett, also from Air Canada Vacations.
“We’re proud to highlight the resilience and determination of all Independent Travel Advisors,” said De Souza. “The 2024 Simply the Best Awards celebrate their unwavering commitment to excellence, showcasing the remarkable achievements and enduring spirit of our community.”
Several awards were handed out during the event. Each category showcases the efforts of an agent across several host agencies, including: TravelOnly; Trevello; Centre Holidays; Nexion; Independent by Flight Centre; and The Travel Agent Next Door. The awards categories are:
- Top Diversified Sales: This category focused on advisors who have made a
noticeable effort to sell across Air Canada Vacations’ diverse Sun, Europe, USA,
Cruise, and ePackages
- Top Group Awards: Six top producing group agents (a winner for each network)
- Top Overall Sales: Three top agents walked away with prizes; the gold winner was
awarded two air seats to any Sun destination that Air Canada Vacations offers
- Rising Star: This category focused on advisors who have substantially grown their
Air Canada Vacations sales from 2022 to 2023
