Which airlines are the most loved – and hated?

TORONTO — Travellers have always had a love/hate relationship with airlines. And now, with a recent survey conducted by Fractl on behalf of charter company Stratos Jets, we know which airlines are the most loved – and hated – in the world.

According to KarryOn, the survey analyzed over 1.3 million tweets sent between Nov. 20, 2015 and Jan. 9, 2016. Each tweet was given a numerical value depending on whether it was positive, negative or neutral. Over 70 airlines, including budget carriers, were featured in the survey.

After all tweets were evaluated, the survey found that Spirit Airlines, the Florida-based low-cost carrier, ranked as the most hated airline, while Korean Air, South Korea’s largest airline, earned the most positive tweets among travellers.
