Air Transat, Promperu showcase Lima, Machu Picchu and more with fam trip

MONTREAL — Air Transat recently joined forces with Promperu to host a fam trip to Lima, for Air Transat sales teams and 10 tour operators and partners from Quebec and Ontario.

Air Transat’s new flights to Lima launched in December 2023, operating year-round from Toronto and Montreal. Tours and packages with Transat are also available.

The fam trip, held last month, aimed to promote Peru as a new destination in Air Transat’s network.

Jhadyd Gonzalez, National Sales Manager at Air Transat, said the fam “strengthened the ties between the partners, improved their understanding of the destination and generated a strong enthusiasm to promote Lima and other regions of Peru.

The 10 tour operator partners included: Tours Chanteclerc, Exotik Tours, Voyages Traditours, Martour International, Majestic Tours, Globus family of brands, Voyzant, AirMiles, Laurier du Vallon (groups and conferences) and BCD Travel.

A trade fair in Lima brought the tour ops together with top local suppliers such as Peru VIP Travel, Lima Tours, Casa Andina, Latventure, Hotel las Dunas, Hilton Lima Miraflores, Chaski Ventura, Viaje Premium Peru, Machu Picchu Inc, and Tanit Trails.

There were also visits to the Ica wine region, the Paracas desert, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, as well as a day of immersion in an Inca community at La Base Lamay.
