MONTREAL — Air Transat has signed a new multi-year FLX Platform agreement with Accelya, with an eye to boosting its offering for New Distribution Capabilities (NDC).
Air Transat’s VP Commercial, Benjamin Pron, said Air Transat will use the FLX Platform to deliver personalized offers, enhance traveller experiences and take control of its distribution.
“As the world’s number one leisure airline, we understand the need to continually innovate and ensure we can deliver the content our business partners want in the channel of their choice. Accelya’s years of experience developing and building NDC, track record in delivering real NDC adoption, and solution flexibility were key factors in choosing to partner with them. The Accelya FLX Platform will deliver partner-centric retailing, enabling Air Transat to offer personalized and flexible options. We are delighted to partner with Accelya on our modern retailing journey,” said Pron.
The Accelya FLX Platform, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), delivers more than 350K personalized offers each second, enabling more than half of all global NDC transactions in 2023, according to data from T2RL. Accelya now powers NDC for two of the three biggest airlines in Canada and six of the top 15 in North America.
“Accelya continues to increase NDC enabled modern retailing with our FLX Platform, and this agreement with Air Transat emphasizes our leadership position. Airlines have their own distribution strategies and technology environments, and we pride ourselves on our platform’s open and modular design. At Air Transat, Accelya is Integrating with Radixx Res, an example of our FLX platform’s ability to interface with existing technology and bring modern retailing capabilities to airlines,” said Sam Gilliland, CEO, Accelya.
