PARIS — Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith along with Anne-Marie Couderc, chairman of Air France-KLM and Anne Rigail, CEO of Air France, say Air France will provide free transport for all official partners involved in the reconstruction of Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris.
In the days ahead, the Air France-KLM group will set up a voluntary donations fund for its customers to help finance the reconstruction work.
“All Air France and Air France-KLM teams around the world have been deeply affected and saddened” since the fire that devastated Notre Dame Cathedral, said a statement issued by the airlines.
In the latest update from the scene, a Paris official says part of the support structure around Notre Dame Cathedral’s rose windows will be dismantled to prevent further damage.
