Air Canada is welcoming confirmation by Unifor, representing the airline’s approximately 4,000 customer service and sales agents, that its members have ratified an agreement on a new collective agreement for five years. “The ratification of this new contract by our customer service and sales agents provides Air Canada with added stability and flexibility to support profitable growth,” said Calin Rovinescu, President and CEO of Air Canada. “It is a ‘win-win’ agreement which recognizes the contribution of our employees. It is also the fourth new labour contract we have concluded over the past eight months building on the shift in culture underway at Air Canada.” The agreement has also been approved by the Air Canada Board of Directors.
