MONTREAL — Air Canada Vacations says it is now accepting MasterCard and Visa debit cards as forms of payment on all ACV bookings.

George Platanitis, Vice President, Sales & Partnerships, Air Canada Vacations, said being able to accept both credit and debit versions of MasterCard and Visa “will allow Air Canada Vacations to offer its travel agents, and in turn their clients, seamless and safe payment options.”

“By utilizing the debit option, depending on their banking plan, customers won’t incur extra charges or be subject to potentially paying high interest rates,” he added. “This also eliminates the risk of future chargebacks and significantly reduces fraud.”

The debit option is available through ACV’s website, agency booking platforms and the call centre.
