PAL Airlines completes first flight under new commercial agreement with Air Canada

Air Canada offers first look at its 2024-2025 winter sun routes

MONTREAL — Air Canada is expanding its sun network for winter 2024-2025, with no fewer than 55 Caribbean and U.S. destinations.

“Air Canada continues to expand the breadth of its winter leisure network by adding new routes to in-demand leisure destinations, including Saint Maarten and Tulum,” says Mark Galardo, Air Canada’s EVP, Revenue and Network Planning.

Galardo adds that Air Canada was the first Canadian carrier to launch service to Tulum, the newest airport in Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, “and we are thrilled to expand our services to offer nonstop flights from both Ottawa and Quebec City to this exciting destination.”

From Quebec City, the Tulum route will operate once weekly, starting Dec. 13. The airline will also resume nonstop services from Québec City for winter 2024-25 to popular sun destinations Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Punta Cana and Cancun.

And from Ottawa, the Tulum route will also operate once weekly. Meanwhile service from Ottawa to Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Punta Cana will increase.

Air Canada also offers winter flights to Tulum from Montreal (five weekly flights) and Toronto (four weekly flights).

Galardo also notes that with Air Canada’s new services to Saint Maarten from Montreal complementing its existing services from Toronto, Air Canada will offer the most weekly frequencies from Canada to the Caribbean island.

Air Canada’s St. Maarten service out of Montreal will operate once weekly, while frequencies out of Toronto will increase.

Overall Air Canada is adding more winter sun flights from Halifax, Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, to a variety of popular vacation destinations in Florida and the Caribbean.

This winter, Air Canada plans to operate up to 50 flights departing Canada every day, serving a total of 55 Caribbean and U.S. sun vacation destinations.

“Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations will offer a multitude of travel options and increased frequencies from airports across Canada so customers can conveniently reach popular winter sun destinations. These flights are already available for sale and customers can make their winter travel plans now,” says Galardo.
