TORONTO — Small-ship expedition cruise company Adventure Canada has mandated full vaccination against COVID-19 for all passengers, team members and crew.
The policy applies to travel aboard its Ocean Endeavour voyages, including those in the Arctic, Atlantic Canada and Europe. The news comes ahead of the Nov. 1 reopening of Canada’s borders to ship-based tourism.
Passengers who currently have a booking with Adventure Canada and do not obtain a COVID-19 vaccination are eligible for a full refund.
Adventure Canada has not operated expeditions since the close of its 2019 season. According to CEO Cedar Swan, the company is committed to resuming operations with safety at top of mind, and in full collaboration with government, medical and regional authorities, as well as community partners.
“We are very excited to be welcoming guests back, to share and discover new places and cultures aboard our exciting new expeditions,” says Swan. “We’re looking forward to once again being able to offer regenerative travel experiences that advocate and strengthen nature and culture, and are essential to move forward into recovery and beyond.”
The company has developed new guiding principles under the categories Clean Ships, Healthy People, Responsible Experiences, and Community Commitment. To learn more click here.
