TORONTO — Great news for travel agents – Air Canada Vacations is now offering online seat selection, with agents continuing to earn 5% commission.

For all departures as of Nov. 1, 2016, any booking made through ACV’s travel agent website, or Sirev, can be retrieved via TripBook. From here, agents can add seat selection to their client files. As a reminder, if making reservations through ACV’s online channels, final payments must be made online as well.

As the only tour operator offering commission on seat selection, the tour operator says that this online initiative was created to save agents time when updating their client bookings.

Online seat selection applies to regular seats only – agents wishing to book preferred seats will have to contact ACV’s reservations department.
