MONTREAL — Air Canada Vacations made a return appearance at the 401 Bike Challenge last week.
The charity bike ride, co-sponsored by ACV, traverses the 580-kilometre route from Toronto to Montreal, raising thousands of dollars along the way.
The goal of the challenge is to help improve the care and treatment of children battling cancer, as well as to support their families and the people who care for them. This year’s event took place Aug. 17 – 19.
Says ACV: “Air Canada Vacations has proudly been the title sponsor of the 401 Bike Challenge since 2019. This year, seven Air Canada Vacations employees (Nino Montagnese, Lucy Sabella, Andreas Anastassopoulos, Kevin Boada, Gustavo Maass, Tony Rolli and Marie-Christine Boyer) signed up to meet the challenge and raise money for the oncology/hematology units of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Toronto SickKids Hospital and the Ottawa Children’s Hospital.”
Through ACV’s sponsorship and individual rider fundraising, $54,776 was donated to the cause, bringing the grand total raised by all participants for this year’s edition of the 401 Bike Challenge to $273,383.
