AAT Kings to return to South Australia for 2023-2024 season

TORONTO — AAT Kings has unveiled its 2023-2024 Guided Holiday tour season for Australia and New Zealand featuring three new South Australia itineraries.

Dubbed “the next hot international destination,” South Australia is known for “breathtaking landscapes, natural wonders and one-of-a-kind experiences,” says AAT Kings CEO Ben Hall.

“Our new 2023-2024 season showcases the best Australia and New Zealand has to offer and has a real emphasis on South Australia, a bucket list destination for travellers … After too much time away from these beautiful lands, we’re thrilled to welcome Canadian travellers back and reinvigorate their passion for travel,” adds Hall.

The new itineraries include:

  • Outback Explorer: Uluru to Adelaide (4 days): Guests will start their journey in Uluru before crossing from the Northern Territory into South Australia to visit Coober Pedy and its stunning lunar landscape, which served as the backdrop for the post-apocalyptic movie ‘Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.’ They’ll also visit Port Augusta, the Wadlata Outback Centre and Adelaide, where they’ll savour award-winning Riesling at Knappstein Wines.

  • Adelaide to Kangaroo Island (5 days): This trip kicks off in Adelaide then travels to Kangaroo Island where guests will visit Kangaroo Island Brewery, where all beers are made using rainwater from a shed top. Other highlights include a two-course lunch at Vivonne Bay Bistro, the only place in Australia where guests can sample Ligurian bee honey, and visits to Islander Estate Vineyard and Emu Bay Lavender Farm.

  • South Australian Eyre Peninsula (7 days): Starting with an Eyre Peninsula tour, guests will then journey to Kimba in Streaky Bay to view art murals on the town’s silos, followed by a coastal scenic drive and a cruise around the bay. They’ll also observe seal pups at Point Labatt Conservation Park, pink granite boulders at Murphy’s Haystacks, honeycomb-patterned rocks at Talia Caves, and dolphins at Coffin Bay. Guests will also visit an oyster farm and sample bush food during a Wild Yambala tour.

Aligning with the new season launch, AAT Kings has also introduced new tour highlights: First Choice – Wildlife & Nature and Best Buys – Natural Wonders. These experiences showcase the wild, natural elements of AAT Kings tours and range from visiting ancient red rock cliffs at Kings Canyon, to whale watching over the Pacific.
