A new ship, themed itineraries and solo departure for Riviera River Cruises

LAUDERDALE — Riviera River Cruises is set to make waves in 2026 with the introduction of a brand-new ship, the Riviera Resplendence, along with five new themed itineraries and an exclusive departure for solo travellers.

The news comes with a limited-time offer of 50% off all European river cruise departures for 2026, which are now available for booking until Dec. 15, 2024.

RIVIERA RESPLENDENCE

Launching in 2026, the Riviera Resplendence will be a 443-foot vessel featuring state-of-the-art amenities spread across four decks. The ship will introduce Riviera’s largest-ever suites and a new split-level bar and restaurant. Mosaic, the third restaurant on board, will offer gourmet tasting menus inspired by the diverse rivers of Europe. The ship’s 89 cabins, accommodating up to 178 passengers, will boast luxurious comforts such as rain showers, flat-screen TVs, and individually controlled air conditioning.

For those seeking indulgence, the grand suites will offer 344 square feet of space, including a balcony and an inviting seating area. Superior suites and double cabins will also provide elegant touches, with options for French balconies and stunning river views.

EXCITING THEMED ITINERARIES

Riviera is expanding its range of themed cruises, offering five new experiences for travellers interested in everything from gastronomy to art. Highlights include:

  • Gardens & Natural Beauty of the Rhine: This eight-day itinerary allows guests to explore the Rhine Gorge, castle gardens in Heidelberg, and the Rose Garden of Saverne, with departures between May and October 2026.
  • Gastronomy of the Danube: Departing from April to October 2026, this culinary journey features 15 included experiences, including wine tastings in Esztergom Basilica and a visit to a traditional confectioner at Schönbrunn Palace.

In a move catering to the growing demand for solo travel, Riviera is introducing a special itinerary through Medieval Germany. This eight-day adventure, scheduled for August 2026, will feature stops in Mainz, Rothenburg, Bamberg, and Nuremberg, among other charming medieval towns. Riviera has a history of offering dedicated solo departures without a single supplement, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for independent travellers.
