Playa Hotels & Resorts celebrates 10th anniversary 

TORONTO — Playa Hotels & Resorts has turned 10, celebrating a decade as a leader in the all-inclusive market.

The company, which has all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, commemorated the milestone with a celebration at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, hosted by Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Bruce Wardinski.

The event was live-streamed to Playa employees across al. regions and offices. Addressing associates from the event, Dayna Blank, Playa’s Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, said: “Each one of you have played a pivotal role in our story and propelling us forward. Your dedication, hard work and commitment is the reason why we can proudly celebrate 10 years of Playa.”

Playa opened its first branded properties – Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and Hyatt Zilara Cancun – in 2013, in partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Since then, Playa has created additional brand partnerships with Hilton, Wyndham, Marriott and IHG. Today, Playa’s portfolio includes 25 properties and 9,501 rooms across Mexico and the Caribbean.
