NEXION CANADA
Tiers & Tracking Reports
“We recently launched a terrific new online reporting program – SmartView – which is our agent’s business management tool and offers agents the transparency needed to increase efficiencies and earning potential,” says Nexion Canada President Mike Foster. “We pay our members twice per month, through direct-deposit. SmartView’s online reporting is accessible to agents 24/7 with daily bookings syncing to the system every evening.” Nexion Canada agents can track their sales by a certain product, month-to-month and year-over-year and have access to their interim commission reports, he adds. “It is our members’ business, and we want to provide all the information that they may find useful in planning and building their business. Additionally, our members deserve to be paid accurately and on time. SmartView is our way of helping to ensure that we always do!”
Preferred Suppliers
Nexion works with more than 140 suppliers partners, including air, hotel, car rental, insurance, tour package and cruise lines. “As we are part of one of the world’s largest travel organizations – Travel Leaders Group – we can make a significant impact with many suppliers in virtually every industry segment,” says Foster. As many Nexion Canada members (and their clients) are close to the U.S. border, Nexion agent members also have access to U.S. supplier programs as well.
Referral Programs
Nexion Canada has a referral program. If a new agent joins based on a referral, there is a referral bonus.
THE TRAVEL AGENT NEXT DOOR
Tiers & Tracking Reports
TTAND agents can see live and accurately what commission is being paid to them on their next pay, what commission has been paid and what commission has not been paid. Agents can also see year-over-year sales/commission numbers, and month-over-month as well as what suppliers they have sold.
TTAND pays commission two times per month. TTAND pays based on any commission received between the 1st and the 15th no later than the 22nd of that month. Any commission received between the 16th and the end of the month is paid no later then the 7th of the next month. If the 7th is a Sunday TTAND pays on the Friday (the 5th). Agents are not required to send an invoice. “Some agencies are required to do this and their commission is a direct deposit into their account using ADP,” says TTAND founder Flemming Friisdahl.
Preferred Suppliers
TTAND gives up to 100% commission on certain suppliers, like Transat Holidays, ACV, Globus, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean cruise, Holiday House, Viking River Cruise and Manulife insurance. TTAND is very focused on preferred suppliers, says Friisdahl. “You simply cannot be everything to everyone.”
Referral Programs
TTAND has two kinds of referral programs.
If a travel agent refers an agent to TTAND, they can earn up to $2,000 for that referral.
For the second referral program, Friisdahl offers an example. “Let’s say one of our agents has a friend in a church group and his name is Bob. This friend Bob hands out a unique business card to get people to call the agent. Once Bob’s friends start to call the agent, then Bob gets a percentage of the commission the agent earns. This is not paid to Bob, but put into a bucket for Bob and every time someone books that is a friend of Bob’s, he gets a percentage. Once Bob is ready to book his own travel he calls the agent and any credit he has is credited to the account and Bob only pays the difference. The agent gets commission on the entire amount and if the agent wants the money back that we are holding for Bob we would give it back to the agent.”
TTAND also has a program for an agent to have an agent working for them.
