THE DESTINATION EXPERTS
Tiers & Tracking Reports
The Destination Experts does not have tiers. Agents are paid based on productivity and commission levels increase based on those sales numbers. Using Client Base Online (CBO), any team member can pull their own sales reports, vendor reports and track client sales. “Because they are independent contractors, we believe providing them with live access to their professional portfolios is imperative,” says The Destination Experts President Deanna Byrne.
Preferred Suppliers
“The Destination Experts believes in forging solid relationships with preferred suppliers. We are pleased to work with many worldwide that not only provide us with exceptional client service but also maintain a solid ‘customer service’ program in assisting clients in need,” says Byrne.
“We believe that supporting preferred suppliers enables agents to access better service, commissions and bonuses.”
If there are issues with service or receiving commission payments in a timely manner, or if a supplier is non-responsive, “we will drop our agreement with them,” she says. “Valuing our clients’ travel investment is our top priority and we expect suppliers to do the same.”
Referral Programs
The Destination Experts offers several referral programs and they differ from province to province.
FLIGHT CENTRE ASSOCIATES
Tiers & Tracking Reports
Using Flight Centre Associates’ own software, Clientlinq, Associates can run their own reporting at any time. Numbers are also sent out every Tuesday and Thursday as an attachment to the brand newsletter. The newsletter highlights customer stories and recognizes and appreciates the Associates behind those stories. The newsletter also offers updates on any news happening in the brand, the business or the industry as a whole. Numbers and productivity are rarely highlighted or mentioned, but they are accessible, says Lee Zanello, Brand Leader, Flight Centre Associates.
Preferred Suppliers
The chosen few or ‘the more, the merrier’? “More like the chosen many,” says Zanello. Flight Centre’s preferred network is expansive but does not include everyone, he notes. “There are few gaps in our preferred network and when those gaps are identified we work directly with our Associates to figure out the best approach.” It’s not mandatory that Associates book with the preferred network. “However once our Associates understand the importance of supporting that network to the brand as a whole, most work hard to keep their business within it.”
Referral Programs
Once they’ve been with the Associates program for six months Flight Centre Associates can refer someone into the business. If the candidate is successful and is still with the program for three months, the referring Associate earns $250.
