After a lengthy three course lunch, passengers are shown the more arid landscape of the Thompson River and Kamloops Lake regions (including many views of big horn sheep) before arriving in downtown Kamloops.

A night spent in the interior BC city of Kamloops, the gracious traditions of the Rocky Mountaineer continue as the Kamloops crew waves goodbye to passengers. But its not just staff that are friendly – locals are always waving at the distinctive Rocky Mountaineer train throughout the journey.
