Stay in a condo or suite
This option needs little explaining, with kitchens and kitchenettes for home-away-from-home dining and enough space for extended families to split the cost.
Condo and suite stays were a no-brainer for many travellers to Hawaii even before the Canadian dollar started to drop. Luckily, there are so many condo and suite properties throughout the islands that this is a viable option for almost any budget.
Clients will do well to consider options offered through Aqua-Aston Hospitality, with many properties located in prime locations and added amenities that can make their deals that much sweeter.
Another big-chain option to check out is Outrigger Hotels and Resorts. Condominium Connection Hawaii, a Hawaii wholesaler, provides agents with a host of condo options while there are also smaller, independent options for travellers that will still earn agents commission.
These options include vacation rentals like the Jungle Farmhouse in Pahoa. This three-bedroom/1.5 bathroom vacation rental is located near black sand beaches with warm ponds and excellent snorkeling and provides farm-to-table eggs and fruit for guests. Rates at the Jungle Farmhouse start at $140/night for the entire home, with laundry room, grill and a screened porch overlooking the jungle and farm all included (pahoa.info.).
At Hilo Bay Hale Bed and Breakfast (also offering commission to agents), located in downtown Hilo, rates begin at $119 through March 25 (regularly starting at $140 per unit for a two-night stay) and includes breakfast with ingredients from local organic farmers.
