Mount Huashan Plank Walk.

This is a great place to cling to the side of the mountain and wonder what the you are doing. This incredibly scary hike is in the Shaanxi province in China near the city of Huayin.

I imagine trekking for 2 hours to get to the starting point of your climb up the mountain. You then climb 999 ‘Heavenly Stairs’ to get to the gondola ride. Once taken you start along a path that gets tighter and tighter until you get to the plank walk, then the plank disappears and toeholds take you the rest of the way up. Once you reach the top there is a Taoist temple that now runs as a teahouse at an altitude of 7,087 feet.
