TORONTO — Israel, the first post-COVID-19 long-haul destination, is in the spotlight with an upcoming webinar.
Hosted by Gal Hana, Consul, Director of Tourism, Canada, and presented by Travelweek together with the Israel Ministry of Tourism, the webinar is scheduled for Tues. July 14 at 2 p.m. ET.
Hana will take viewers through the many steps Israel has taken to prepare for its grand reopening for travel in the post-COVID-19 era.
The webinar will highlight the amazing experiences that will keep the country top of mind for travellers including cultural events, great beaches, and diverse foodie locations. Of course Israel’s offering of iconic religious sites is also second to none, and a trip here is truly transformative.
Israel was one of the first countries to implement complete lockdown measures at the start of the global pandemic. Measures included grounding all flights in and out of Ben Gurion International Airport, closing all land border crossings as well as shuttering hotels and other modes of accommodations.
The government credits its quick response for the reason why the recovery process is even possible today.
Hotel reopenings began in May. Reopening the tourism sector has been done in accordance with measurable health and safety factors.
Webinar viewers are eligible to win prizes including a beautiful book and two bottles of fine Israeli wine.
