ROCHESTER, MN — Not even in your worst nightmares could you ever dream up something like this.
The History Center of Olmsted County in Rochester, Minnesota has launched a creepiest doll contest that will make you think Chucky was an angel by comparison.

The center, which is posting photos and videos of its miniature terrors on Instagram every day until Oct. 24, is encouraging people to vote, or ‘like’, the doll they think is the most nightmarish. The winner and runner-up will be displayed over Halloween.

Curator Dan Nowakowski told Minnesota Public Radio that for a lot of the dolls, the freakiness is all in the eyes. Some have movable eyelids that snap open when you lift the dolls up. The paint has chipped off the face of another contender, making it look like a mummy.
Nowakowski says the dolls weren’t intended to be frightening when they were made, but damage from play and the passage of time have turned them creepy.
So which one scares the pants off of you?
