TORONTO — Sunwing is launching new weekly flights from Victoria to sunny Mazatlán and Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo this winter, giving residents in the B.C. capital a total of four tropical destinations to choose from.
Mazatlán flights depart on Saturdays and kick off Dec. 21, 2019, running until March 28, 2020. Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo departs on Sundays starting Dec. 22, 2019 and running until March 29, 2020.
Both destinations complement returning favourites Huatulco and Los Cabos this winter from Victoria.

In Mazatlán, travellers can stay at El Cid Castilla Beach, which offers water slides and banana boat rides (at an extra cost, or the newly-renovated Riu Emerald Bay, a top-rated family resort featuring sweeping ocean views in the majority of rooms. In Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, there’s the family-friendly Azul Ixtapa Resort, home to its own mini water park and kids club.
