TORONTO — Club Med has breathed new life into its iconic La Caravelle resort following an expansive transformation that includes new experiences, amenities and lodging.
Located in Guadeloupe in the French West Indies, the resort, which first opened in 1969, has received enhancements to its food and beverage outlets plus two new beach bars. The revamped main restaurant now boasts an open air terrace and locally sourced produce along with a dedicated area for parents to prepare food for their little ones. For adults, there’s also a brand new rum cellar stocked with the island’s best offerings.
After a day full of activities and premium dining, guests can retire to new oceanfront lodging, which includes 76 adjoining rooms and 12 family suites. In the brand new adults-only Zen Oasis, they’ll find deluxe rooms, a Zen pool, yoga hut and a secluded beach.
Five additional treatment rooms have been added to the newly revamped spa, also home to a beauty salon, an open-air relaxation area and two aquatic treatment spaces.
And for more active guests, the sports area has been renovated to be completely accessible while a new water playground has been added for kids to enjoy.
