MONTREAL — The new centrepiece of Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, Four Seasons Hotel Montreal, will officially open on May 8.
The hotel will have 169 guest rooms, 19 suites and 18 Four Seasons Private Residences.
“We can’t wait to receive our local community, as well as world travellers, into our luxury ecosystem for the full Four Seasons experience, right in downtown Montreal,” says Four Seasons General Manager Gonçalo Monteiro. “With summer and all its great festivals and events just around the corner, spring is the perfect time for us all to enjoy Montreal’s trendsetting style and culture.”
The 169-room property is located downtown in the upscale west end at the foot of Mount Royal. Connected to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, and a 10-minute walk to the Bell Centre, five minutes by car from the train station and 20 minutes from the airport, the hotel is ideally located for international visitors, regional weekenders and business travellers, says the company.
In addition to MARCUS restaurant and bar, Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s first restaurant in Canada, the hotel will have a spa (billed as the only urban spa in Montreal to offer Kneipp Water Therapy), fitness centre, a skylit indoor pool and a fifth floor ballroom with outdoor terrace.
Accommodations including 19 suites range from Deluxe Guest Rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and sparkling views of Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, Premiere Carré Doré and Premiere Rooms with glass doors that open up beside each bed to a free-standing bathtub, and the two-bedroom Presidential Suite on the hotel’s highest floor, with a sleek living area featuring a dining table for eight.
The hotel’s 450-person Palais des Possibles ballroom features a sweeping terrace overlooking Montreal. And the lobby features white marble, gold elevators and pink and grey velvet walls.
