MONTREAL — Melia Sol Cayo Guillermo will close from May 1 to Oct. 31 for a facelift.
Travelweek’s sister publication ProfessionVoyages.com reported on the closure earlier this week. All services will be open and available until April 30, 2019.
“A letter has been sent to travel agencies on this and agents will be contacted in the coming days. It’s official, our hotel will be closed during the summer season from May 1 to October 31, 2019. Our reopening is scheduled for November 1, 2019. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this news. This is a last-minute decision,” said hotel rep Nelido Casay Dias.
According to reports, customers who have already reserved during this closed period will be relocated to Melia Guillermo or Melia Jardines.
Transat has confirmed that its clients will be relocated to Melia Cayo Guillermo, a Transat exclusive in Canada.
