TORONTO — EL AL Israel Airlines celebrated the launch of its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on its Toronto – Tel Aviv route yesterday at Pearson Airport’s Terminal 3, with its supporters and travel industry partners.
Guests toured the new Dreamliner which replaces the Boeing 767 aircraft used on this route since its inception.
The new Dreamliner offers three classes of seats: Economy, Premium Economy and Business. It also offers increased capacity, a shorter flight time and updated features and convenience for passengers.
Dinah Kutner, General Manager, El Al Canada said the Dreamliner’s arrival marks the beginning of a new era for EL AL, adding that the new aircraft has “exceeded all expectations” and will be a winner with passengers on the route.
Travel industry partners in attendance included Ehud Telem, CEO, Peerless Travel; Rajiv Calpakam, Air Contract Manager, Vision Travel; Bruce Slade, BDM for Huntington Travel and Flight Centre’s Troy Vigushin. In Telem’s words, it was a historic day for EL AL and its clients, and the new level of service with the most advanced equipment will help grow travel to Israel, he said.
El Al will be adding service between Israel and San Francisco and Las Vegas later this year which will increase its destinations in North America to eight cities.
