HAWAII ISLAND — Renovations are well underway at the soon-to-debut The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, with the very first images of the property having just been released.
The US$46 million renovation will include upgraded guestrooms, an entirely new adults pool and new dining venues, all of which will debut in May 2018. During its transformation, the property will remain open as the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.
Upon completion, The Westin Beach Hapuna Resort will be the only Westin on the Big Island.
The resort in its current form as Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel has the following currently available for guests:
- Redesigned guestrooms and suites (140 of 232 rooms, inclusive of suites); Hapuna’s guestrooms are among the largest on the Kohala Coast
- A new adults-only pooloffering a serene poolside experience overlooking the award-winning Hapuna Beach
- Four new dining concepts: Meridia, a Mediterranean inspired restaurant; Naupaka Beach Grill, an innovative casual restaurant featuring an extensive list of local brews on tap;‘Ikena Landing, an open-air breakfast venue with a buffet and a la carte options; and Piko Coffee+Bar, a barista bar serving 100% Kona Coffee and fresh grab ‘n go selections
- Sophisticated lobby experience that includes a new Living Wall vertical gardenand interactive check-in pods
