AUCKLAND, NZ — US President Barack Obama will visit New Zealand in March 2018 to speak at an event hosted by the New Zealand-United States Council. The event will take place on March 22 in Auckland hosted by the Council.

“President Obama’s presidency had an extraordinary impact on the world and during his service, New Zealand’s deep friendship with the United States was strengthened politically, culturally, in trade and investment, innovation and security,” says Council  Chairman Leon Grice.

President Obama will also speak at an event in Sydney hosted by the Council on March 23.

The New Zealand-United States Council is a not-for-profit dedicated to supporting and strengthening the bilateral relationship. Its members include businesspeople and academics committed to investing in the NZ-US relationship.
