TORONTO — In an effort to expand its cross-country reach and establish a stronger presence, particularly in Ontario, Travel Professionals International (TPI) has announced changes to its sales and marketing team.
In sales, the organization has promoted its structure to be led by three Directors of Sales: Christine Winchester (Western Canada); Rhonda LaFosse (Ontario); and Lisa Geddes (Atlantic Canada).
Winchester has been a TPI travel advisor for 10 years as well as a member of TPI’s head office team for two years, and can be reached at cwinchester@tpi.ca. LaFosse has been a TPI team member for five years and can be reached at rlafosse@tpi.ca, while Geddes, a TPI team member for 16 years, can be reached at lgeddes@tpi.ca.
These positions replace the previous Regional Sales Managers as TPI employs a director-level presence, working closely with its advisors and partners in their respective regions.
Colton Chia has been promoted to Director, Partnerships, leading new and existing partner contract negotiations and event contract procurement. He can be reached at cchia@tpi.ca.
In marketing and events, Jordana Botting has been named Director, Marketing & Events, and brings with her 15 years of experience in the travel industry. She most recently worked as Senior Director of Marketing at Tully Luxury Travel, and can be reached at jbotting@tpi.ca.
In addition, Caroline Hay joins TPI as Manager, Marketing & Events, working alongside Amanda Pereira, who has also been promoted to Manager, Marketing & Events. Hay comes to TPI with 25 years of experience in the travel industry, including a stint as Business Development Manager at Princess Cruises. Hay can be reached at chay@tpi.ca and Pereira at apereira@tpi.ca.
Morgan, Chia, LaFosse, Botting, and Hay are all based in the Greater Toronto Area, while Pereira is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
TPI continues its expansion efforts as it currently is searching for a Vice President, Sales & Marketing, and a Director, Business Development – both based in Ontario.
“We’re realigning to better deliver on all our initiatives,” said Morris Chia, TPI President & CEO. “Our Vice President, Tim Morgan, is based in Toronto, and we are increasing efforts in that region to continue our growth and innovation efforts.”
