MONTREAL — Transat’s Surprise Dates contest is back, this time to commemorate Air Transat’s first ever win at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.

On this day five years ago, Air Transat was named one of the best air carriers on the planet at the annual awards ceremony. Since then, the airline continues to rack up the accolades, most recently last month when it was recognized by Skytrax as the second best leisure airline in the world, making it the best leisure airline in North America for the sixth consecutive year.

To commemorate this special anniversary date, Transat has announced that every booking of a Transat product made today (July 13) by midnight automatically earns consultants a chance to win one of three trips for two that will be drawn at random in Quebec-Ottawa, in the Ontario-Atlantic region and in Western Canada.

The three winners will each enjoy a package for two, including Air Transat flights in Economy class and a one-week, all-inclusive stay at one of the following Palace Resorts: Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun in Mexico; Moon Palace Jamaica Grande; and The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun in Mexico.

There is no need to register; contest entry is automatic as soon as a consultant sells a Transat flight, package or cruise during the day.

In addition, two other travel agents per region who book a Transat product today will be selected at random to earn $30 in Bonbon rewards. The names of the winners will be announced in the coming days.

Transat will draw a total of 30 surprise trips this year – three each month – from among travel consultants in Canada. On one day each month, on a milestone date in the company’s history, every booking consultants make will earn them one chance to win.
